If your trophy fish is a silverblank sea trout, you can start rejoicing right now if you’ve decided on Fyn as your base for your next fishing adventure. Many years of investment in nature conservation and improving spawning and nursery habitats for the sea trout have borne fruit, so now you can cast your line out into some of the best sea trout waters in Europe.
But there’s no need to stand in water up to your waist to enjoy good fishing. You could angle from a fishing boat, for example, based at Langeland, Middelfart or Nyborg. Or you can stand on the breakwater and catch garfish and herring for hours on end in the peak season. Perhaps you are more inclined to try some relaxed put & take angling with the children. Whatever you pursue, you have a wealth of opportunities on Fyn and the surrounding isles.
If you do not have time to try things out on your own, you can take a shortcut by booking a local angling guide with at least ten years- experience who can show you all the “secret” places.
Angling on Fyn is as widespread as skiing in Austria. If you have hired a holiday cottage, you will most likely have a freezer, so you’ll be able to keep some of your catch to eat later as well.
